What
Makes Our Prayers Worthy ?
Colossians
1
9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about
you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you
spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10
Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives
will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you
learn to know God better and better.
11 We also pray that you will be
strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and
patience you need. May you be filled with joy, 12 always thanking the Father.
He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who
live in the light. 13 For he
has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom
of his dear Son, 14 who
purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.
Psalm 118 : 21
I thank you for answering my prayer and giving me victory!
Matthew
21
22"And (W)all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will
receive."
Luke 11 :
2And
He said to them, " When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be
Your name. Your kingdom come.
3'Give
us each day our daily bread.
4'And
forgive us our sins, For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to
us. And lead us not into temptation.'"
James
5:
13 Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of
you happy? You should sing praises. 14 Are any of you sick? You should
call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with
oil in the name of the Lord. 15 Such a prayer offered in faith will heal
the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins,
you will be forgiven.
16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each
other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has
great power and produces wonderful results. 17 Elijah was as human as we
are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for
three and a half years! 18 Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down
rain and the earth began to yield its crops.
Proverbs 15:8
8 The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of
the upright pleases him.
Matthew 5:43
"You're familiar with the old
written law, 'Love your friend,' and its unwritten companion, 'Hate your
enemy.' I'm challenging that. I'm telling you to love your enemies. Let them
bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time,
respond with the energies of prayer, for then you are working out of
your true selves, your God-created selves
Mark 11:22
22"Have[f] faith in God," Jesus answered. 23"I
tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into
the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24Therefore
I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it,
and it will be yours. 25And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so
that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins
Philippians 4:6
4 Rejoice in
the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let
your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do
not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus.
Philippians 1:9
9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and
depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern
what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, 11
filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus
Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
Jesus.
Colossians 4:1-3
2Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3And pray for us, too, that God may
open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for
which I am in chains.
Philippians
4:5-7
5Let your
gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do
not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And
the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts
and your minds in Christ Jesus.
